The Orthotic & Prosthetic Centers provides orthotic, prosthetic, and pedorthic services to the Greater Boston Area, South Shore MA, Cape Cod and the Islands, and North Smithfield, Rhode Island.

Our clinicians and staff collaborate with physicians, therapists and other healthcare professionals to service patients of all ages. Our decade-long partnership with a leading manufacturer of orthotic and prosthetic devices empowers us to bring a full spectrum of services dedicated to meeting the diverse needs of our patients. We currently have four convenient offices located in:
• Braintree
• North Smithfield, RI
• Plymouth
• West Yarmouth

About You

As the Administrative Assistant, you will often make the first impression at our busy Braintree office addressing the needs of our patients, your teammates, and referral sources. You enjoy learning, collaborating, and building trusting relationships. You demonstrate high integrity, and you are focused on superior outcomes for your patients.

You will schedule appointments, verify insurances, obtain insurance authorizations and referrals, process payments, answer questions, and respond to telephone inquiries ensuring that our patients are being cared for. You will join a team of professionals who enjoy and take pride in improving the lives of our patients.

Specifically, you will demonstrate high standards in the following duties:
• Meet and greet our patients with a pleasant, positive demeanor
• Check patients in and out
• Professionally answer phone calls and follow up on open items
• Schedule patient appointments, create new patient charts, and maintain existing patient records
• Work with the patients and insurance companies to ensure coverage
• Work with physician’s offices to obtain compliant documentation
• Securely scan and file patient documents
• Handle over the counter (OTC) payments
• Partner with clinical staff in managing projects
• Ensure that all tasks are completed on time

Your Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of medical terminology required
• Medical office experience required
• DME/Orthotic & Prosthetic experience preferred
• Ability to quickly type and enter data into various software programs
• Driver’s License and ability to travel between offices, if necessary


Salary commensurate with experience.
